1. About these Terms

These Terms govern your use of Going A2B, a business mileage recording service operated by Terence Barnes, trading as Going A2B.

By creating an account or using Going A2B, you agree to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

2. The Going A2B service

Going A2B is designed to help you create and maintain records of business journeys. Features may include odometer photographs, OCR-assisted readings, timestamps, location information, supporting evidence photographs, mileage calculations and downloadable reports.

3. Tax, employment and mileage eligibility

Going A2B is a record-keeping tool. It does not provide tax, accounting, employment or legal advice and does not determine whether a journey qualifies as business mileage for tax, reimbursement or any other purpose.

You are responsible for determining whether journeys and expenses are eligible under the rules that apply to you, including any requirements imposed by HMRC, your employer or another relevant organisation.

4. Accuracy of records

Technologies such as OCR, GPS and location services can occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete information. You are responsible for checking your journey details, odometer readings, mileage calculations and other records before relying on or submitting them.

5. Your account

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless caused by something for which Going A2B is legally responsible.

6. Free trial

New users may receive a 14-day free trial. The trial starts when the account is registered. A payment card is not required merely to start the trial, and you will not automatically be charged at the end of the trial unless you separately choose to subscribe.

When the trial expires, the ability to create new journeys may be restricted until an active subscription is purchased. Existing records and available reports may remain accessible.

We may take reasonable steps to prevent repeated or abusive use of free trials.

7. Paid subscriptions

Going A2B currently offers a monthly subscription at £1.49 per month and an annual subscription at £14.99 per year.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the selected billing period unless cancelled before the next renewal. The applicable price and billing period will be shown before you complete your purchase.

8. Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel your subscription through the available billing or subscription-management facility. Cancellation stops the next renewal. Unless otherwise required by law, you can continue using the paid service until the end of the period you have already paid for.

9. Changing your subscription

Where Going A2B allows you to change between monthly and annual billing, the change may take effect at the end of your current billing period. The timing and price of the change will be shown as part of the subscription process where applicable.

10. Consumer cancellation and statutory rights

If you are using Going A2B as a consumer, you may have statutory cancellation, refund or other rights under applicable law. These Terms do not remove or restrict rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Failed payments

If a subscription payment fails, we or our payment provider may retry the payment and your paid access may be restricted or ended if payment remains outstanding.

12. Your journey records

Going A2B is intended to assist with record keeping, but you should retain or export copies of important records where appropriate. You remain responsible for meeting any record retention requirements that apply to you.

13. Photographs and other content

You retain ownership of photographs and other content that you provide to Going A2B.

You give us permission to host, store, process, reproduce and transmit that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure and provide the Going A2B service to you.

14. Acceptable use

You must not misuse Going A2B, attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or other users' information, interfere with the operation or security of the service, introduce malicious code, or use the service for unlawful purposes.

15. Intellectual property

Going A2B and its software, branding, design and other service content, excluding content supplied by users or third parties, are owned by or licensed to the operator of Going A2B. You may use them only as necessary to use the service in accordance with these Terms.

16. Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep Going A2B available and reliable, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, technical problems, third-party services or other circumstances may occasionally affect availability.

We may update or change features where reasonably necessary to maintain, improve or secure the service.

17. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Subject to those rights, Going A2B is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information that you entered or failed to check, decisions about whether a journey qualifies for tax or reimbursement purposes, or use of the service contrary to these Terms.

18. Ending your account

You may stop using Going A2B and request closure of your account. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary, including for serious misuse, security reasons or non-payment, subject to applicable law.

19. Changes to prices or these Terms

We may change subscription prices or these Terms from time to time. Where a change materially affects an existing paid subscription, we will provide notice where required and will not retrospectively change the price of a billing period you have already paid for.

20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you may also have the benefit of mandatory protections provided by the laws of the country in which you live.
